It's My Birthday

Lyrics

Verse

One time
They told me that life was a bummer
Two times
That work is a four-letter word
Three times
You fall in love in the summer
Four times
The winter's just for the birds

Pre-Chorus

But if we're gonna do it
Baby
Do it right
I'm ready to party
Baby
All night

Chorus

It's my birthday
Let's get dumb
I can feel it comin'
Gonna have me some fun
It's my birthday
What I want
Is to get down with you
Baby
All night long

It's my birthday
It's my birthday
It's my birthday
It's my birthday
It's my birthday
Let's get dumb
I can feel it comin'
Gonna have me some fun

Verse 2

Five times
The tide washes up on the beaches
Six times
I don't care about the world
Seven times
The weight of the world falls on me
Eight times
I fell in love with a girl

Pre-Chorus

But if we're gonna do it
Baby
Do it right
I'm ready to party
Baby
All night

Chorus

It's my birthday
Let's get dumb
I can feel it comin'
Gonna have me some fun
It's my birthday
What I want
Is to get down with you
Baby
All night long

It's my birthday
It's my birthday
It's my birthday
It's my birthday
It's my birthday
Let's get dumb
I can feel it comin'
Gonna have me some fun

About the track

It's My Birthday is about more than turning a year older. It is about looking back and seeing all the people who have supported this project from the beginning: every listen, every message, every play and everyone who chose to stay.

This track is dedicated to all of you following the Kira Beats journey, and especially to the Sersis and Putukos, companions in laughter, parties and moments that can never be recreated.

With aggressive breakbeats, Valencian drum and bass energy and a ska attitude, the track becomes a chaotic celebration, a way to say thank you and a reminder that as long as there is music, there is still another round ahead.
